After finishing her graduate school, she joined the group of Prof. Andrew B. Bocarsly at Princeton University, at where she studied solid state chemistry and semiconductors, as a postdoctoral researcher. She then moved on to the National Renewable Energy Lab, working for Dr. John Turner to expand her knowledge in renewable energy. She joined the faculty of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at SDSU in August of 2016.
