Margaret is a Pacific Northwest native from the city of subdued excitement: Bellingham, WA. She received her B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematical Physics Minor from University of Washington in March 2018. During her time at UW, her research focus was mainly on preparation of metallic nanoparticles and molecular clusters, which were targeted for use as colloidal hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalysts via coupling to semiconductor nanocrystal photoabsorbers. Margaret plans to obtain a PhD focusing on materials science and renewable energy. In her “spare time”, Margaret enjoys outdoor adventures, travel, board games, and cooking Persian food.
