Description: Sabrina is a San Diego native and current Ph.D. student in the Joint Doctoral Program between San Diego State University and the University of California, San Diego. Her research background includes optimizing uranium deposition and hohlraum fabrication, studying P3HT:PCBM polymeric combinations in organic solar cells, and synthesizing transition metal dichalcogenides as catalysts for photoelectrochemical hydrogen generation along with surface modification of silicon for enhanced light absorption. In our lab, she develops two-dimensional nanomaterials and nanocomposites for energy conversion and storage devices. Outside of the lab, Sabrina is a powderhound at heart and loves the mountains. Her favorite hobbies include snowboarding, climbing, camping, napping, live music, and road trips to the mountains.
